About Us |
|
Welcome to the Northern Beltex Flock of pedigree beltex sheep here at Birdridding farm. We bought our first Beltex Sheep directly from the first import in 1989. Twenty years later we still have a real passion for the breed and have worked hard to produce high quality, healthy breeding stock for both pedigree and commercial farmers to use. We have stayed loyal to the type of Beltex first imported whilst improving the legs and locomotion of our sheep. We are always pleased to see visitors and usually have stock to sell. We stand behind our sheep and have built up a large customer base over the past 20 years. We sell at Carlisle and Skipton society sales as well as directly from the farm. Running along side the 80 Beltex ewes on the 280 acre Birdridding Farm are 70 suckler cows producing store cattle and 250 commercial ewes producing Beltex cross butchers lambs. A more recent introduction to the farm is 30 red deer hinds. |

To promote our sheep we compete at shows in pedigree classes as well as butchers lamb classes and carcass competitions. Please look at the photographs on the website and if you would like more information do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards David Findlay
